In one breath
- Your tins are private. Only people you invite can see them.
- You keep ownership of everything you put in. We never publish, sell, or train on it.
- You may only upload things you own or have permission to share with your family.
- No sexual or pornographic material, no hate, no harassment. Tinfully is a family place.
- You can export everything and leave at any time. Nothing is held hostage.
- The reading is done by a machine and can be wrong. Unsure words are marked; check the original before you rely on it.
1. Who we are
Tinfully is made by KEYPOPPY, a heritage preservation firm in Mars, Pennsylvania. "We" means KEYPOPPY; "you" means the person using Tinfully. You must be 18 or older to have an account.
2. Your content is yours
The photographs you upload, the words we read from them, your corrections, and anything derived from them belong to you or to whoever owns the originals. We claim no rights in them. You give us only the permission we need to store them, read them, show them to the people you invite, and hand them back to you in any format we offer.
3. What you promise about what you upload
You upload only material that you own, that your family owns, or that you have permission to keep and share privately in this way. A recipe copied from a published book into a private family tin is the kind of thing people have always done at a kitchen table, and that is what Tinfully is for. Sharing a recipe by link or making it public is the tin owner's choice; share publicly only what you have the right to publish, and do not make public a photo of a living child without a parent's consent. Everyone pictured in what you add should be someone you may share with your family. If someone shows us that content infringes their rights, we will contact the tin owner and may remove it (see section 9).
4. Privacy
Tins are private by default. We do not sell personal information, we do not show advertising, and we do not use your content to train AI. Our privacy policy says what we collect, who helps us run Tinfully, and the choices you have.
5. The reading is a machine's reading
Transcriptions, normalized readings, summaries, names, dates, recipe cards, and unit conversions are produced automatically. They can be wrong. Unreadable passages are marked [illegible] and uncertain readings [word?]. Conversions are arithmetic and assume typical ingredients. Always check the original before cooking from, citing, or acting on a reading. Recipes are historical documents, not food-safety advice.
6. Family members
When you invite someone, they can see the whole tin. Depending on the role you give them, they may also add pages and correct the words on pages they added. You are responsible for whom you invite. Members can leave; owners can remove members. Pages a member added stay in the tin.
7. Paying, stopping, and leaving
Prices are shown on the pricing page before you pay anything. If you stop paying, your tin stays open to read and export for 30 days, then it is put away: members lose access and the owner can export it or resubscribe to bring it back. A tin that stays put away for a year is deleted, after two reminders. If you delete a tin or your account yourself, we delete the content, and it is gone from backups within 30 days.
8. What is not allowed
Tinfully is a family place, used by grandparents and grandchildren. Do not add, share, or write, anywhere in Tinfully:
- Sexual or pornographic material, or nudity. (A family photo of a baby in the bath is not what this means; anything sexual is.)
- Any sexual image of a child. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires, and close the account.
- Intimate images of anyone shared without their consent.
- Hate: attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or age.
- Harassment, bullying, or threats, or anything meant to frighten or hurt someone.
- Obscene or profane language or images in anything you share with others or make public.
- Graphic violence or cruelty, or anything that encourages it.
- Someone else's private information (an address, a phone number, a medical detail) shared to expose them.
- Material you have no right to, anything illegal, or pretending to be someone you are not.
Do not try to reach tins you are not a member of, or to get around how Tinfully works. We may remove anything that breaks these rules, and suspend or close an account that does, depending on how serious it is. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and a person will look again. To report something, write to support@tinfully.com with a link to it.
9. Copyright
If you believe something on Tinfully copies your work without permission, send a notice to our copyright agent naming the work, where it is on Tinfully, how to reach you, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you own it or act for the owner and believe the use is not authorized, with your signature. We will remove it and tell the person who added it, who may send a counter-notice. We close the accounts of people who infringe again and again. 10. Our responsibility
We take care of your content, but we are a small company and this is software. We do not promise the service will always be available or that a reading will be correct. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. Keep the originals; the tin is still the treasure.
11. Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Pennsylvania law applies.
