Chocolate Chip Chews

Oven 350 degrees · 175 °C20 minutesmakes 3 to 4 dozen

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup oatmeal (or coconut)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method

  1. Mix in the order given.
  2. Pour into a greased jelly roll pan (10 x 15 inch).
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  4. Overbake.
  5. When cool, cut into finger-length bars.
